Family terraces above the lagoon
Cole Bay and Cay Hill are where the island actually lives — family homes on the hillsides, sunset views over the lagoon, and pools that get used every single day. The terrace here is not a showpiece; it is the main room of the house.

A terrace children run on
When the pool is in daily use, two things matter more than anything in a brochure: the deck must stay grippy when soaked, and the railing must be genuinely child-safe. Wet timber and smooth tiles fail the first test; horizontal-cable and low railings fail the second.
Our anti-slip aluminium boards keep their grip when wet and never splinter — no barefoot hazards, no annual treatment. LINEA's vertical balusters are designed to comply with NF P01-012, the French safety standard governing guardrail height and the gaps a child could pass through.

Hillside plots, sunset exposure
Cay Hill's west-facing slopes catch full afternoon sun. Light Qualicoat shades limit heat build-up underfoot, and a bioclimatic pergola with adjustable louvres turns the hottest hours back into usable ones — then closes when a shower rolls off the hills.
- Anti-slip pool-surround decking, non-porous — algae and mould do not take hold
- LINEA railings for family safety, CLARIS glass where the lagoon view leads
- Bioclimatic pergolas with louvres you angle against the western sun
- Hillside decks on adjustable pedestals or posts, confirmed at the site survey
How pricing works
One final figure, in writing
Our rate card is the same across the Caribbean: decking 450–550 € per m² installed, pergola structures 550–650 € per m², railings from 255 € per linear metre — as French West Indies reference prices. Because Sint Maarten sits outside the French legal and tax framework, shipping, customs clearance and any local taxes are additional and itemised on your quote, and the warranty terms applying to your project are stated in writing before you commit.
We are a French West Indies manufacturer — workshops in Saint-François (Guadeloupe) and Les Trois-Îlets (Martinique) — not a local Sint Maarten office, and we would rather say so plainly. What you get is made-to-measure manufacturing, installation, and every cost on paper before you decide.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the decking really safe for kids around a pool?
The board surface is anti-slip and keeps its grip when wet, and aluminium never splinters. It is the reason pool surrounds are one of the most common projects we quote.
Can you build on a sloping Cay Hill plot?
Yes — aluminium substructures on adjustable pedestals or posts handle slopes well. The technical solution is confirmed during the site survey, before anything is manufactured.
What is the budget for a family terrace?
Our reference price is 450 to 550 € per m² installed in the French West Indies; a 40 m² pool surround typically lands between 18,000 and 22,000 € before Sint Maarten freight and local taxes, which are itemised on your written quote.
