FAQ

Questions we get asked

Prices, materials, wind certification and how we work — answered plainly, with the figures rather than around them.

01

Pricing

How much does aluminium decking cost?

From 450 to 550 € per m² including VAT, installed, depending on the range and the complexity of the substructure.

How much does a bioclimatic pergola cost?

The structure is 550 € per m² including VAT in the Classic range and 650 € per m² in the Premium range, excluding installation. Installation is 60 € per m² excluding VAT. Options: textilene awning from 80 € per m², integrated LED lighting from 55 € per linear metre.

How much do aluminium railings cost?

From 255 € per linear metre including VAT for CLARIS up to 390 € for NOCTIS with integrated LED lighting, excluding installation.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. The quote is free, written, and carries no obligation. We do not chase you afterwards.

Do prices change for the northern islands?

Our rate card is the same, but for Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten and Saint-Barthélemy freight and any locally applicable taxes are itemised separately on the quote.

02

The material

Why aluminium rather than timber?

Aluminium does not rust and cannot rot. In a tropical climate those are the two ways an outdoor structure usually fails — timber needs sanding, oiling and rot treatment on a permanent cycle, and still greys and splinters.

Does aluminium get hot in the sun?

In direct tropical sun, virtually every decking surface heats up — colour and shade matter more than the material. What distinguishes powder-coated aluminium is that heat does not degrade it, and it comes in light Qualicoat-certified shades that limit temperature build-up. A pergola over the deck is the most effective fix.

Is it slippery when wet?

Our anti-slip boards keep their grip when wet thanks to their surface texture. The material is not porous, so mould and algae do not take hold, and chlorine does not affect it.

What maintenance is needed?

Rinsing with clean water. No sanding, no annual oiling, no rot treatment.

What is Qualicoat?

A certification standard for the powder coating applied to architectural aluminium. It governs the quality and durability of the finish. All our profiles carry Qualicoat-certified coating.

03

Wind and safety

Are your pergolas certified for high winds?

Yes: 160 to 180 km/h for the Classic range and 180 to 220 km/h for the Premium range. The certified figure for your configuration is stated on your quote, and the right range depends on how exposed your site is.

Do your railings meet safety regulations?

Our railings are designed to comply with French standard NF P01-012, which governs guardrail heights and gap dimensions.

What warranty do you provide?

Our installations in the French West Indies carry the ten-year structural warranty provided under French construction law (garantie décennale). For projects outside the French territories — Sint Maarten in particular — the applicable warranty terms are stated in writing on your quote.

04

Working with us

Do you work in English?

Yes. Enquiries, quotes and site coordination are handled in English throughout.

Which islands do you cover?

Guadeloupe and Martinique, where our two workshops are, plus Saint-Martin, Sint Maarten and Saint-Barthélemy on request.

How long does a project take?

Between 7 and 45 days depending on the scope, with the exact lead time stated on your quote. For the northern islands, add shipping.

Do you survey the site before starting?

Always, and before anything is manufactured. We measure, check the substructure and confirm the technical solution, so the price you accepted is the price you pay.

Can you match a deck, a pergola and railings?

Yes — it is the most common request. Working in one material across all three means a single colour reference and a consistent finish.

Still have a question?

Ask us directly — we answer in English, usually the same day.
